You may know her from her pro-LGBTQ activism online. You may know also know her as being responsible for the anthemic “Nazi Goths Fuck Off”. But Suzi Sabotage’s newest EP “Oodi surulle” really lets you get to know her as an artist. The 3-song EP is a brilliant blend of Cold Wave and Neo-folk, with an atmosphere evocative of the iciness of her native Finland. The title track also showcases her first time singing in Finnish, allowing us a glimpse at the depth of her vocal range, which lends a certain haunting quality to to the song. Included in the EP are her breakthrough singles, “I Am The Storm” and the club-worthy “Persona Non Grata”. “Oodi surulle”, while only 3 songs long, is an incredibly strong release with each song being its own anthem that can be played on repeat for hours on end. Suzi Sabotage is on the cusp of becoming huge, and this EP is just a small taste of what she is capable of.
