Peter Jennings Disciples, "Bad News" EP Review

The well-informed, transcendental movement of Peter Jennings Disciples is back at it again with their new EP, "Bad News", the sequel to their previous release, "Good News". Based out of Rockford, Illinois, PJD brings an "alternadustrial" flair to an abundantly creative genre. The opening track "L'appel du Vide" sets the tone, with a somber and gloomy instrumental piece, while "Wild Girl (Slug Mix)" definitively displays the aspects of the alternative part of their alternadustrial style, with pounding and crashing drums, and driving, distorted guitars. The five song EP is something that one could imagine hearing in any club environment, with stomping beats and sludgy electronics. Echoing the best of 90's era industrial rock/metal, "Bad News" is not a release to be missed.

Standout Track: "Wild Girl (Slug Mix)"
