Metamorph, "Kiss of the Witch" Album Review

Margot Day, front woman for the legendary NYC goth band The Plague, is back to bewitch us all with her mesmerizing new album, "Kiss of the Witch". 7 tracks of anthemic goth rock weave tales of broken hearts, love lost and found again, through enchanting vocals and the near-alchemical production of Erik Gustafson (Adoration Destroyed). Included is also a remake of The Plague's song "Empress", featuring Margot's daughter Julifer Day on guest vocals. The most interesting and endearing feature of this album is the use of the flute, which Margot wields masterfully, ripping into solos befitting a lead guitarist's skill. "Kiss of the Witch" is a dark delight not to be missed by both elders of the scene and those just getting into the nuanced sounds of goth rock.
