Eva X “I Dream of a Reality” Album Review

British Columbia’s own Industrial Pop/Dark Electronica siren, Eva X, has at last put out her first full length album. And let me be the first to tell you that it is a club-worthy banger. After releasing a series of singles from 2019 to the present, Eva X has slowly been priming herself to carve herself a niche in the rising tide of dark pop artists. With the release of her album “I Dream of a Reality”, she has effectively raised the bar that other artists will have a hard time topping. Loaded with super stompy beats, crunchy guitars, and atmospheric electronics, it is her vocal range that truly sets her apart. As Eva X has now taken her act live onstage, she has shown festivals like Seattle’s very own Mechinismus that she is a force not to be reckoned with. The only downfall I could find with this album is that it truly left me wanting more, but the remixes included quickly satisfied. I, for one, am looking forward to what Eva X brings in the future.

Stand out track: “Broken Wings”, simply because it shows the true range of her voice.
