Binary Order, "The Future Belongs to the Mad" Album Review

London, UK's very own industrial-metal titan, Binary Order, is back with a searing new full length, "The Future Belongs to the Mad". Earlier this year, the one-man act released an incredible cover of Papa Roach's "Thrown Away", reshaping the song into something beyond recognition. Now on "The Future Belongs to the Mad", Binary Order brings that same intensity to new heights, all while tempering it beautifully with changing dynamics that juxtapose the core sounds of his compositions. Opening with the absolutely blistering "Consternation", we get a taste of the heaviness that Binary Order brings. Crushing guitars and pounding bass, all charged by the relentless double-kick of the percussion, the song sets the stage for the first act of the album. But to show a completely different side of his capabilities, "Feel Again" is an exercise in creating lush atmospheres and softer soundscapes. Preceded by the instrumental "Hope is a Mistake", we are taken down a rabbit hole that strays into more synth-driven compositions accompanied by Benjamin Blank's crooning vocal performance. In all, from start to finish, "The Future Belongs to the Mad" is absolutely breathtaking, and should not be missed in your playlist rotations.
