This album is composed of anthem after anthem, all of which are relevant to the times we currently live in, in regards to our socio-political climate and having just come out of a 3-year pandemic. The album can be defined through the song "Remember Who You Are" as a statement of where the band stands in its beliefs, as well as what they are capable of musically. It's simply not a Goth song without the staccato bass lines and punchy percussion, but what really sets Ashes Fallen apart from the rest is the heavy guitar tones, and frontman James Perry's dynamic vocal performance. He can brood with the best, but he can also belt like no one else in the scene currently. "Walk Though Fire" is surely an album that will stand the test of time in annals of Goth Rock history.
Runner-up: Black Angel, "Lascivious".
